Just four kilometers off Kos town is Asklepieion, a place of unaparallel natural
beauty and great historical significance. Asklepieion used to be the greatest health institution in Ancient Greece, dedicated to Asklepios, the god of medicine. It was at this beautiful place that Hippocrates treated his patients. The view of the Aegean Sea from Asklepieion is stunning. |
